Brighton and Hove Albion keen on Derby County right-back

Brighton and Hove Albion have joined the chase for Derby County right-back Jayden Bogle.

The Seagulls are “very keen” on a summer move for the promising defender, according to journalist Alan Nixon on Twitter.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene this season for the Rams and has impressed for Frank Lampard’s Play-Off chasing side.

Bogle has played 36 games in all competitions for Derby in this campaign and is being tipped for a big future in the game.

He was linked with a move to the top flight in the January transfer window but has said in the past that his mind is solely focused on his current side at the moment.

Burnley are also believed to be interested in him with Derby expected to brace themselves for top flight interest in him over the coming months.

Brighton are hoping to secure their place in the Premier League for next season as soon as possible. Chris Hughton’s side are currently 15th in the league and five points above the relegation zone. They also have a game in hand so should be able to stay up bar a disastrous collapse.

Bogle has impressed in the Championship in this campaign for the Rams and has grasped the opportunity that Lampard has given him. With Derby likely to sell players this summer to balance the books as their owner looks to sell, could Bogle be on his way to the Premier League?
