Maya Le Tissier: Manchester United defender signs contract extension

Manchester United defender Maya le Tissier has signed a four-year contract extension with the club.
Le Tissier, 22, joined in July 2022 from Brighton, initially on a deal until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The defender has made 59 appearances and scored three goals so far for the club.
"We want to make Maya a key feature of our team for many years to come," United boss Marc Skinner said.
"Maya is a leader and everybody at the club should be proud that she's decided to sign for us long term. She has the right mentality and the right attitude - and is a perfect role model for the next generation."
England international Le Tissier has played every minute of United's Women's Super League campaign so far this season.
After extending her stay with the club, she said: "I'm really happy to sign a contract extension with this great club and look forward to ending the season strong, while continuing to build for the future.
"A big thank you to all our fantastic fans for their great support since I joined, and I'm excited for many more winning moments together."
