Arsenal legend Martin Keown came in for some stick from a Manchester City fan after hitting out at their win over Brighton.

Keown was appearing on the White & Jordan Show on talkSPORT where he lambasted Brighton for 'rolling over' in their 4-0 loss to City on Wednesday night.

It sparked fury among the City fanbase, with supporter Anthony ringing in to give the former defender a piece of his mind.

"I just want to say normally I agree with you completely on every week on any subject you bring up," he told Keown, sitting alongside Jim White and Simon Jordan in the talkSPORT studio.

"But you sound like a right burk today!"

Keown replied through Jordan and White's laughter: "No, no. Look, I take nothing away from Man City and the way that they play.

"But what were you really up against last night? Honestly. How naive were Brighton?

Anthony replied: "Have you got your dummy back in your pram because that is what it sounds like. Does this happen with Arsenal when they beat teams, do you say that about their team that they roll over for Arsenal?"

White then asked the City fan if he thought the title was Etihad-bound again, which he said seemed inevitable, sparking fury in Keown.

"Arrogance," the Arsenal legend said. "Arrogance. When you are winning everything, don't forget how difficult it was all those years for you when you were winning nothing.

"Have a little respect for the other teams that are trying to win something, no? I applaud everything Man City are doing.

"I think their football is quite magnificent but this stinks of arrogance. Who's the burk now?"

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes Tottenham let Manchester United score more so the Gunners lost the Premier League title back in 1999

City trounced Brighton 4-0 at the Amex Stadium on Wednesday night with the Seagulls often the perpetrators of their own downfall.
